This performance took place during the Indiana Fever’s 110-107 victory against the Seattle Storm. Her individual scoring effort also marked her as the tenth player in league history to reach a 45-point game.
Clark’s game included 45 points, 10 assists, and four steals. A crucial moment came with less than a minute remaining when she secured a steal from Seattle’s Flau’Jae Johnson, effectively sealing the win for the Fever. This outing was noted as the highest-scoring game ever by an Indiana Fever player, as well as by any WNBA point guard.

She entered the game shooting 32 per cent from three-point range.
Katie Smith is currently third on the all-time career list for three-pointers with 906. She is behind Diana Taurasi, who has 1,447, and Sue Bird, who has 1,001.

Clark’s performance came amidst an ongoing national discussion regarding her treatment within the league. She had also been recovering from a back injury sustained in a previous game where she was involved in an incident with Phoenix Mercury’s Alyssa Thomas. Due to this injury, Clark had been on a strict minutes restriction for her first three games back.
Despite the minutes restriction, Clark was determined to stay in the game. She told reporters that she refused to come out late, stating, “There’s no way I was ever coming out of the game in the fourth quarter. It didn’t matter. I would play with one leg.” She also reflected on her resilience, saying, “I know all the time and the work that I put in, and people believe in me. And more than anything, I believe in myself.”
