When Gate 2 was subsequently closed, she moved to Gate 4, where a similar situation reportedly occurred. Glover expressed frustration, noting that stadium staff at Gate 4 were observed laughing, which she found disrespectful given the money spent by attendees.
The gates to Yankee Stadium eventually reopened shortly before 10 p.m., with police officers patrolling each entrance to maintain order. The extensive delay meant fans waited more than three hours past the scheduled start time for the performance to commence.

Once on stage after midnight, Jay-Z addressed the crowd directly, explaining the reasons behind the significant delay. He stated that there were approximately 10,000 people outside the stadium and that doors were closed for the safety of both those inside and outside the venue.
